Green tea is unfermented and contains very low levels of caffeine, less than 50 milligrams per cup.

This jade-hued brew offers a spring-time grassy flavor. The smooth character makes it a good partner with sweet or savory foods. This tea is antioxidant-rich since it combines two types of healthy green tea.

Heat water to just below boiling point (175ø-185øF). Place one tea bag in your cup, pour in the water and infuse for one to three minutes.

Matcha comes from gyokuro, a green tea that grows under shade trees three weeks before harvest. Its pure dried leaves, minus their fine veins and stems, are then ground into a fine powder, almost the consistency of talc. Matcha is the revered tea of the centuries-old Japanese tea ceremony. Sipped only on occasion, this tea is traditionally prepared in single portions, whipped to a frothy green with a bamboo whisk.
