Tea Name

Blackberry Sage
Tea of Wisdom

Description

An enchanting blend of black tea, fruit and herbs. Finest quality Indian leaves mingle with sweet, fragrant blackberries and cool, soothing white sage. The mild, head-clearing character of the white sage herb contributes to a wise tea mind.

Origin/Estate

Tea: India; White Sage: Mojave Desert

Caffeine

Black, or fully fermented, tea produces about one-half the caffeine found in a comparably sized cup of coffee. Decaffeinated Blackberry Sage contains a miniscule amount of caffeine.

A highly aromatic blend, rich in flavor and subtle in affect. The first sip produces a soft berry note finished by the cool flavor of white sage.

Preparation & Serving

Use one level teaspoon of leaves or one tea bag per cup of tea. Brew three to four minutes. Try it with a dab of honey.

Interesting Anecdotes

Sixteenth-century Dutch explorers brought sage to the Chinese, who became so enamored of sage tea that they gladly traded three pounds of their own tea for one pound of dried sage. Sage tea was also drunk by American patriots in the eighteenth-century boycotting English tea imports.
